Metal Clay Workshops

Silver Metal Clay is a revolutionary new medium from Japan. It consists of very small particles of silver mixed with an organic binder and water. The metal clay can be moulded, textured, carved and sculpted; it is then fired with a torch or fired in a kiln to transform it into metal. Glass Cabachons and some gem stones can be set into the clay. The Metal Clay Art Studio also offers classes in the new 'clays' Bronze & Copper Clays. Classes are small to ensure individual attention and private tution is also available.

Enamelling on Metal Workshops

Enameling, fusing glass onto metal was used in ancient crafts as a substitute for precious gemstones in jewellery. Enamels today can add vibrant colour or subtle transparencies to metal. Explore some of the possibilities.
