In July I was fortunate enough to travel to the UK. From there I jumped on a train to France to attend the EuroSynergy2 Conference hosted by the International Polymer Clay Association. The conference this year took place at the Mercure Hotel in the beautiful town of Bordeaux.
It was a huge success; there were many presentations by well-known Polymer Clay Artists, like Jeffrey Lloyd Dever, Kathleen Dustin, Melanie Muir and Maggie Maggio.
The event also incorporates several days of workshops. A new addition to the programme was the Hands On Design Challenges. I participated in some of these. The challenge was to make a polymer design piece before arriving at the conference. At the event, you then re-made this piece demonstrating and discussing the process you have used. It was an interesting concept and a great way to discover new tricks and tips from other artists from around the globe.
