A French Affair

At the end of May I was fortunate enough to travel to Geraldton to teach the Perles de Limoge polymer clay workshop hosted by 2Wards Polymer Clay. France is famous for the fine porcelain produced there since the 1700’s. Perles de Limoge translates to beads in Limoges, so named for the beads created resembled porcelain and Limoges.

The 2 day workshop taught students to use an extruder tool and learn techniques used to create porcelain like beads using polymer clay. The students explored with strings of clay, texture, twists and finishes formed organic beads to create unique and stunning necklace designs.

I had a fantastic time in Geraldton with Susannah and Suzanne, the 2Wards girls who kindly organised the workshop. It was a very French Affair and we finished the last day with a glass of French bubbly!

Here are a few snaps from the workshop weekend: Students working at their beads. I showed my necklaces I have made since my workshop in Malta with Klavdija Kurent.
